The major things in life we sometimes put off because we can always do them some other time.  The question is, why can't you do it now? What is preventing you from doing what you really want to do? Most of the limitations in life are usually self limitations. What job or area should you be working it? How do you get close to these functions or the important people involved?  An important starting point is to give yourself a profile.
